Shell and Insulation
The shell of the Thunder Jacket is made out of nylon ripstop cire with DWR (durable water repellent). It effectively blocks on wind, snow, and other elements.

The real insulating power of the Thunder Jacket, however, is derived from its air. The jacket's 800 fill goose down traps plenty of air within the jacket, which insulates you against the bitter cold. At the same time, the fine goose down weighs little and is highly compressible, making the Thunder Jacket one of the lightest jackets on the market. Weighing just under 12 oz., you will barely feel its existence.

Portability
Because of the fine texture of the fill goose down, the jacket is light-weight and high compressible. You can easily stow the jacket by compressing it into its pocket. When you feel the chill, simply fluff it up and you are ready to go.

The Thunder Jacket comes with some standard athletic features, including a hideaway hem cinch-cord, elastic-bound cuffs, and two hand pockets. The jacket runs on the small side, so it may be a good idea to go a size up for saving room for additional layers.
