Windstopping Power

The Sentinel Windstopper softshell is constructed with a three-layer Gore Windstopper fabric. This material is elastic, water-resistant, breathable, and completely windproof. The result is a heat-retaining softshell jacket that allows you to move and train even if the weather isn't ideal.

The interior of this jacket is lined by micro-fleece, which provides comfort and warmth without adding too much weight.

Compare Sentinel Windstopper to Apex Bionic

The Sentinel Windstopper, in our opinion, is a bit warmer and more fitting than the Apex Bionic, another best-selling softshell from TNF. However, the Sentinel Windstopper is about $50 more expensive than the Apex Bionic, which is a fact that we did not like. For this reason, we did not give it a perfect score. Other than that, the Sentinel is great.

Temperature Range and Lifestyle

With the Sentinel's superior thermal effects and wind blocking ability, you can expect to wear it down to 30 degrees or so comfortably. Due to its athletic fit, the jacket is great for all kinds of exercises and as a insulating layer with an outer shell.

Ridiculously thin, warm and comfortable, we highly recommend Sentinel Windstopper to any serious athlete. Besides the price tag, there is nothing else we can complain about it.
